Remembering Tammi

By Naparazzi Staff / June 3, 2024

Recording artist Stylz Milleon recently visited the grave of the legendary Motown singer Tammi Terrell. Tammi rests in Sharon Hill Cemetery, about 2.3 miles from Philadelphia's airport. She is famous for her duets with Marvin Gaye, and many young artists are discovering and enjoying her music and voice. It is widely believed that Tammi was Marvin's favorite singer. The two of them recorded over 50 duets from 1965 to 1969. Tammi passed away on March 16, 1970. There are speculations about the cause of her death, with some suggesting it was due to a brain tumor, while others say it was a result of the violence she endured from men she dated, such as James Brown and David Ruffin.
