On Sunday, Las Vegas Aces Superstar A’ja Wilson made WNBA history by becoming the first player to reach 1,000 points in a regular season. She secured this milestone by sinking a fadeaway jumper against Connecticut, ultimately contributing to the team's 84-71 victory. This accomplishment further solidifies her status as the greatest of all time in the WNBA.

Clark’s Career High
Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese have made a huge impact in the WNBA. Reese impressed with her double-doubles and record-breaking rebounds until she unfortunately got injured. We wish Reese a speedy recovery and a strong comeback. On the other hand, Clark has been setting franchise records with the most double-doubles and three-pointers in a season, as well as the most three-pointers in the WNBA overall. In a thrilling 110-109 win against the Dallas Wings, Caitlin scored a career-high of 35 points. She also broke the WNBA rookie season scoring record, previously held by Simone Augustus of the Minnesota Lynx. It's a special moment for Caitlin, as Augustus was the first player she ever met when she attended a game as a child.
Boston Beatdown
Aaron Judge hit his 53rd home run of the season, the most in MLB, as the Yankees beat the Red Sox 5-2. In the last series of the season, the Yankees were dominant against Boston, winning three out of four games. The series featured a game-winning single by Soto on Thursday and a go-ahead grand slam by Judge in the seventh inning on Friday, breaking his home run drought and leading New York to victory. Finally, on Sunday, Judge drove in Soto after hitting his 53rd homer of the season.
Like Father, Like Son
Marvin Harrison Jr emerged as a standout talent following his time at Ohio State, following in the footsteps of his father, the NFL and Colts icon Marvin Harrison Sr. He was selected in the first round as the 4th pick by the Arizona Cardinals. In just the second week of the season, the rookie wide receiver demonstrated his skill by amassing four catches for 130 yards and two touchdowns by the end of the first quarter. Although it is still early in the season, if he maintains this level of performance, he could be a strong contender for Rookie of the Year.
Bryce Benched
Carolina Panthers have decided to bench Bryce Young, the former first overall pick, in favor of Andy Dalton. Following a disastrous performance in week 1, where the Panthers suffered a heavy defeat of 47-10 against the Saints, week 2 was equally disappointing as they lost 26-3 to the Chargers with Young only managing to pass for 84 yards. Young's sophomore season has been marked by a slump, having thrown three interceptions and no touchdowns in the first two weeks.
Dolphins Make QB Move
After Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa sustained a concussion in Thursday's defeat against the Buffalo Bills, the Dolphins have brought in Tyler Huntley from the Baltimore Ravens practice squad. Tua will not be placed on injured reserve until further details are known. Nonetheless, with Tagovailoa sidelined, will the Dolphins still pose a threat?
Saints Go Marching On Cowboys
Following a dominant 47-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers, the New Orleans Saints are now gearing up to face the Dallas Cowboys in a week 2 showdown. Alvin Kamara played a pivotal role in the game against Dallas, scoring four touchdowns (3 rushing, 1 receiving). The Saints' defense managed to force two turnovers (2 interceptions) and recorded three sacks during their clash with Dallas. Despite Derek Carr being intercepted once and throwing for 243 yards and one touchdown, the Saints emerged victorious with a final score of 44-19. While Dallas slipped to a 1-1 record, the Saints have kicked off the season with an impressive 2-0 start as they head into week 3.
