Draft Day

Post NBA Draft

By Naparazzi Staff / June 27, 2024

The 2024 NBA Draft has concluded with France leading this year's class. Five players from France were drafted, including the first and second overall picks, Zaccharie Risacher and Alex Sarr, and four in the first round overall. UConn and Kentucky also had multiple selections in the top ten. The steal of this draft, in my opinion, was Rob Dillingham, who was picked 8th overall by the San Antonio Spurs and then traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Some players experienced a drop in their draft positions, such as Isaiah Collier, who was picked 29th by the Utah Jazz, and Kyle Filipowski, who was the 2nd pick in the second round, also for the Utah Jazz. Additionally, the Lakers selected Bronny James as the 55th pick. He is a point guard from USC and the oldest son of LeBron James. The Indiana Pacers made three 2nd round selections: Juan Nunez, a point guard from Spain, Tristen Newton, a point guard from UConn, and Enrique Freeman, a power forward from Akron. Meanwhile, the Miami Heat made a pick in each round, choosing Kel'el Ware, a center from Indiana, and Nikola Djurisiç, a shooting guard from Serbia. With many potential future All-Stars, superstars, and perhaps even Hall of Famers, I am excited to see who will stand out and achieve greatness. Who did your team select, and are you happy with the pick they made?
